The GDPR governs how personal information is processed by the Pazapa application.

"Personal information" means information or an opinion about an identified person, or a person who is reasonably identifiable. The privacy policy of the Pazapa application applies to personal information collected and/or held by the Pazapa application.

The municipality of Marche-En-Famenne places great importance on the privacy of user data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the information you provide when using our mobile application.

Use of geolocation data

Our application uses the geolocation data from your mobile device solely to guide you on a specific route that you have chosen. This geolocation data is not stored, recorded, or shared with third parties. It is used only in real-time to provide you with accurate directions on your route.

Information sharing

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, we do not share your information with third parties, whether for commercial, advertising, or other purposes.

We take appropriate security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Any changes will be published in this updated privacy policy, and we encourage you to review it regularly.

Use of collected personal data

Comments

When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, as well as your IP address and the user agent of your browser, are collected to help us detect unwanted comments.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is validated, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you will be offered to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is solely for your convenience so that you do not have to enter this information again if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.

If you go to the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up a number of cookies to store your login information and screen preferences. The lifespan of a login cookie is two days, and that of a screen option cookie is one year. If you check "Remember me," your login cookie will be retained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.

When you modify or publish a post, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not include any personal data. It simply indicates the ID of the post you just modified. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example, videos, images, articles…). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor visited that other site.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, and track your interactions with these embedded contents if you have an account logged into their website.

Statistics and audience measurement

Use and transmission of your personal data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Data retention periods

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and automatically approve subsequent comments instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (if this is possible), we also store the personal data indicated in their profile. All users can view, modify, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Site managers can also view and modify this information.

Your rights regarding your data

If you have an account or have left comments on the site, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including the data you have provided to us. You can also request the deletion of personal data concerning you. This does not include data stored for administrative, legal, or security reasons.

Transmission of your personal data

Visitor comments may be checked using an automated service for detecting unwanted comments.
