Toucher l’Art, Voir Autrement : l’art se découvre autrement à Marche-en-Famenne

The FAM – Famenne & Art Museum and the Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities have joined forces to create “Touching Art, Seeing Differently – Inclusion and Visual Impairment”, a sensory journey inviting visitors to experience art and heritage in a new way.

With the support of the King Baudouin Foundation, this inclusive project offers a fresh perspective on art, particularly through:

🖼️ 3D printed reproductions of artworks,
💍 reproductions of jewelry,
🏛️ models of the city's former outlines from 1484,
🎧 audio-described sequences of certain works by Remy Van den Abeele.

A wonderful initiative that allows visually impaired individuals to touch, listen to, and feel art, while providing everyone with a unique cultural experience.

Through this project, Marche-en-Famenne reaffirms its commitment to an inclusive and accessible culture, where everyone can discover, understand, and appreciate our heritage.

👉 A great opportunity to see art differently… and most importantly, to experience it differently!
