Indeed, we are currently looking for a sponsor for the following walk:

“Gentiane” – 6.4km – green rectangle marking – starting from Place Capitaine Mostenne in ON

Many tourists come to explore one of the marked trails in our tourist area, which boasts nearly 230 kilometers of hiking and mountain biking routes.

To maintain the quality of this network and ensure enjoyable, well-kept walks, the Communal Tourism Office of the municipality of Marche has established a SPONSOR & SPONSORESS system for walks for several years now… And since then, our paths have improved! This is thanks to the network of sponsors as well as the municipal workers.

The routes are marked according to the standards of the Walloon Region, but this marking can be damaged (by vehicles or vandalism, litter, wear and tear…), and sections may sometimes be diverted due to construction. Each route must therefore be checked frequently. That’s why we rely on the collaboration of conscientious and passionate volunteers to help us identify issues and ensure a good hiking experience for everyone.

Your role:

Walk the trail at least three times a year.

Carry out a minimum of maintenance on your initiative (e.g., remove a sticker, clean a sign, straighten a marker, trim branches in front of a sign…).

Control and report: report a missing, damaged, or dirty marker, invasive or ecologically interesting plants, a road under construction, a detour, trails needing maintenance…

Send a report with your observations to the Tourism Office (it’s also nice to receive a message indicating that the marking is in good condition) or use the FixMyStreet app.

Our role:

Provide you with all the necessary documents to complete the walk (the IGN walking map, the standard form for the evaluation report, the various markers, and the necessary materials…).

Forward your reports to the municipal services who will address the issues you have noted.
