K-DOLLS

…Or art in the service of children.

The goal of the K-Dolls projects is to create an artistic movement around the Kiwanis doll, which they represent. They are much more than art objects. All profits from sales are dedicated to supporting children in need, whether through local initiatives or programs focused on education, health, and safety.

The K-Dolls are decorated by artists who generously volunteer their talent for the benefit of children. You can admire K-Dolls crafted by renowned artists and anonymous creators, children, art students, and associations participating in this project.

The K-Dolls are exhibited in Marche-en-Famenne during the summer season and in other cities throughout the year, initiated by local Kiwanis Clubs.

Some K-Dolls, acquired by the City of Marche or the KIWANIS, permanently decorate the municipality:

'Rosie' – Artwork by Vinciane SURGES – Installed at Vivalia in Marche

Viviane Surgès, a watercolorist and painter, oscillates between figuration and abstraction to express emotions and imaginary landscapes.
Her works stand out for their freedom of gesture, light, and depth, using glazes, acrylics, pigments, and charcoal.
She creates effects of transparency and poetic atmospheres, where pleasure and surprise dominate.

'Big Doll at Vita' – Artwork by Dominique VANRYKEL – Installed at the MCFA in Marche

Creating this large doll was an enriching experience despite its shapes and size.
It reflects my artistic universe, with small floating characters and vibrant colors.
Its style evokes optimism, positivity, and dolce vita.
I am happy that it can be seen by a wide audience and participate in this beautiful initiative.

Artwork by Jean-Roch FOCANT – Installed in the garden of ANDAGE in Aye

Jean-Roch Focant was born in Aye (Belgium) in 1954. He is a self-taught painter, captivated by abstraction. A thick material structured in red, yellow, and blue. An artist who does not conform to trends and follows his own path.
