Meeting around the book: Communalization, putting an end to the State?
Event
With Geoffrey Grandjean
What if the State was no longer the only way to organize our collective lives?
The Citizen Space of the Centre d’Action Laïque of the province of Luxembourg, in partnership with Livre’S, invites you to a meeting with Geoffrey Grandjean, professor of political science at ULiège and associate researcher at Sciences Po Paris, on Friday, October 9 at 5:30 PM in Marche-en-Famenne.
In the face of rising public debt, the decline of public services, inequalities, and citizen distrust, is the State still able to fully fulfill its role? Has it become counterproductive? What other forms of collective organization can be considered?
On the occasion of the release of his book “La Communalisation: putting an end to the State? (The Territories of Memory),” Geoffrey Grandjean will offer reflections on the limits of the state model and possible alternatives to rethink the organization of our societies.
The evening will conclude with a friendly aperitif.
The works of Geoffrey Grandjean, as well as other books related to the theme, will be available for sale by Livre’S.
Free entry.
